Total Body Modification or TBM is a system of health care that was developed by Dr. Victor Frank, a chiropractor. Like Applied Kinesiology, it too uses muscle testing to evaluate a patient's overall health status. The central part of this technique, called the Basic Exam, consists of testing approximately 100 reflex or alarm points on the body. Here, the doctor touches the patient at a specified point and tests a muscle. If there is a weakness, that indicates a problem with the energetic circuit for that organ, gland or system. This is akin to having a blown circuit breaker in your house. Each circuit in the body has a prescribed method of correction. In some cases the correction is to find a supplement that balances the point. In many cases, the correction is simply tapping or stimulating a number of areas along the spine. In others, the correction is gentle squeezing of the head or placing a patient on wedge shaped blocks to torque the pelvis slightly.
The next major part of this technique involves retraining a patient's sugar metabolism using a special high protein, low sugar/starch diet called "The Sugar Control Diet." The patient must adhere to this diet strictly for at least two to three weeks. Once they've completed the initial two to three weeks on the diet, certain foods are slowly reintroduced and the patient is monitored using muscle testing to determine if their sugar circuits are able to handle the new foods.
After the basic exam has been completed on the patient and all of his/her circuits are functioning properly, and the patient has corrected his/her sugar metabolism, deeper work can be done. This can include eliminating a patient's allergies, helping them to break abnormal emotional patterns.
